Photos of old Broadstairs

I have collected photos of old Broadstairs, some from old postcards and some from a site on Facebook.  I thought it might be of interest to make a post about it.

This photo of Holy Trinity church, where my parents and Nicholas and I were married, is pre 1920 and before the tower was removed because it was dangerous. So many changes as there are no trees there nowadays.

This shows the inside of the church before the trellising  was moved to the side chapel

Bradstow Mill
The cinema opposite our flat in Blackburns. It used to be the abattoir and my mother used to sit on the wall and watch the animals as they went in to slaughter
The pier and Tartar Frigate

Viking Bay in the 1960s with my father in the doorway of our beach hut wearing a red shirt. He never wore a red shirt so I think that this postcard had been hand painted
