As I have put in the family details of other Great Grandparents I am now going to do that of my Great Grandmother, Martha Fasham who married Thomas Pysden. Fortunately they were a Margate family and their records were on those of St John’s church. Margate, so I was able to work them back until I found the earliest member who was:

RICHARD FASHAM AND SARAH HOLT
Richard was born about 1580 and married Sarah Holt. They had one son I could find:

Walter Fasham & Elizabeth Dadds
Walter, born in 1610, married Elizabeth Dadds on 5th June 1631. She was born in Margate and died in 1656. Walter then remarried Katherine Brown who died in 1669. Walter and Elizabeth had the following four children:
1/ John born in 1632
2/ Robert in 1633 who married a Mary
3/ Mary born in 1637
4/ Elizabeth in 1639

John Fasham and Elizabeth Marie Dericke
John -born 1632- married Elizabeth Marie Dericke on 12th October 1654 in St John the Baptist church, Margate. Elizabeth was born in in 1634 in Margate and died in 1698. They had 4 children as follows:
1/ James born in 1655 in Marate and married Mary Lee on 11th September 1679 in St John the Baptist. Mary was born 1658
2/ John born 1657 and died in 1670 aged 13
3/ Thomas born in 1660. Thomas married Thomasine Alfery on 21 November 1689 in St Johns. Thomasine was born in 1660 in Margate and died in 1730
4/ Robert born 1663/4 and died in 1736. He married Mary Daniels on 11th January 1688 in St Nicholas at Wade. Mary died in 1731

Roberth Fasham and Mary Daniels
Robert- born in 1663/4 married Mary Daniels on 11 January 1688 and died in 1736 aged 62 or 63. Robert and Mary had seven children that I have been able to find.
1/ John born in 1689 and died in 1689
2/ Mary bdorn in 1691
3/ James born in 1692 and married Mary Hiles
4/ Robert born in 1695 and died of dropsy in 1739 aged 44. Robert married Mary Grant on 27th December 1724 in Margate. Mary was born aboaut 1700
5/ Mary born in 1697 and died in 1702
6/ Susannah in 1702
7/ Joh in 1703 and died in 1737 aged 34

JAMES FASHAM & MARY HILES
James. born 1692 in Margate, married Mary Hiles on 4th November 1719 in St John The Baptist, Margate. Mary born in 1691 was aged 28. They had six children that I could find:
1/ Mary in 1721
2/ Robert in 1722
3/ James in 1724
4/ John in 1728 and who died in 1728
5/ John in 1730
6/ David born 1732 abd died ub 1773. David married Susanna Pears on 25th September 1763. David and Susana had four children:
- Rebecca in 1765
- Susanna in 1767
- Mary in 1769 and who died the same year
- Mary in 1770
David in 1773 and who died in 1774

JOHN FASHAM AND MARY CHANDLER
John married Mary Chandler on 17th October 1756. Mary died in 1765 and he then married Mary Price on 5th November 1766 in St John The Baptist. This Mary was born in 1740 and died in 1803. John had three childrend with Mary Chandler
1/ Stephen born in 1756
2/ Mary born in 1760 and died in 1770
3/ John born in 1762 and died in 1770 so they lost two children in the same year

Stephen, born in 1758, married Elizabeth Ralph on 17th November 1782 in St John the Baptist, Margate and dthey had the following seven children:
1/ John born in 1784 and who married Mary Ann Bowles in St Clements Church, Sandwich on 17th Octobe 1808. John and Mary had 5 children
John in 1812 in Sandwich, William in 1815 in Eastry, George in 1817 in Sandwich, Mary in 1820 in Margate and Thomas in 1823 in Margate and who emigraged to Australia with his wife Emma Easter
2/ Sarah born in 1786
3/ Daniel born in 1788
4/ Stephen in 1790 who married Sophia Cowell on 13 October 1813 in St John the Baptist, and who died on 30 August 1854 aged 64
5/ Wiliam born in 1793
6/ James born in 1799
7/ George born in 1807 and who married Sarah Hammond Heritage on 7th April 1838 in St Peters Church, Broadstairs

STEPHEN FASHAM AND SOPHIA COWELL
Stephen was born in 1790 in Margate and married Sophia Cowell on 13th October 1813 at the age of 23, He died on 30 August 1854 aged 64. They had seven children:
1/ Sarah in 1814
2/ Elizabeth in 1815
3/ Daniel Stephen in 1817 in New Romney, Kent in 1817
4/ Stephen in 1820 who married Ann Constable Danton in JUne 1844
5/ Mary baptised in 1825
6/ Martha baptised in 1825 (My Great Great Grandmother ) who married Thomas Pysden on 30th December 1847 at St John the Baptist
7/ Sophia in 1832 who married Edward Philpott
NINTH GENERATION
MARTHA FASHAM and Thomas Pysden
Martha, born in 1825 married Thomas Pysden on 30th December 1847 in St John the Baptist. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. The marriage was witnessed by Martha’s sisterand and an Edward Johnson who were both illiterate and signed with a X. Martha and Mary were baptised together but I cannot tell if they were twins or as their had been five years since the previous child, their parents had just not got round to having them baptised.Martha died in 1898 in Margate and Thomas in 1905 in Thanet. They had the following children:
1/ Thomas in 1849 and who married Alice Sarah Morrison in 1871 in St Lawrence Church, Ramsgate and was the father of my Grandmother, Alice Florence Mockett nee Pysden
2/ Martha in 1851
3/ Sarah in 1853
4/ Edward in 1856
5/ Emma in 1859, Emma married William Hughes in 1879 and died in 1956
6/ George in 1862 who married Emma Jane Savin in 1880, died in 1947 and had a son George Savin Pysden who was killed in France in WW1.
